It looks like the former Celtics player Glenn “Big Baby” Davis will be serving 40 months in federal prison.

Prosecutors in New York indicated that Mr. Davis participated in a scheme involving numerous NBA players, doctors, and dentists to defraud the NBA players Health and Benefit Welfare Plan. Over 20 people were convicted in the case, many of them NBA players.

Mr. Davis and former Detroit Pistons guard Will Bynum were found guilty in November.

Davis served on the 2008 Celtics title team and now will serve the 40 months, pay $80,000 in restitution, and undergo three years of supervised release. Big Baby made a few steals while playing – but many more after…
